Our Ms. Jeffanie Phang holds a Bachelor of Law (Honours) from Aberystwyth, United Kingdom and complete her Certificate of Legal Practice in 2017. She was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of High Court of Malaya on 12.09.2018 after completing her pupilage with Messrs Asbir Hira

Singh & Co. and was retained as a Legal Associate with the firm.

The year 2017 to 2022 bore witness to Ms. Jeffanie Phang’s myriad achievements within the firm. She has completed the Advocacy Training Course organized by the Malaysian Bar in 2018 and has assisted in trials relating to Medical Negligence, Banking, Commercial Law, Tortious Actions and regularly appears in the Lower Courts, High Court, and assists in the Appellate Courts. She also handles probate and administration and conveyancing matters. Throughout this five-year odyssey, Ms Jeffanie Phang not only upheld the highest standards of legal excellence but also became an integral part of the firm.

Our Ms. Jeffanie Phang’s journey as a litigator has been defined by an unyielding commitment to justice and an innate ability to navigate the complexities of legal disputes. This prowess, finely honed in courtrooms, now converges with the meticulous world of conveyancing when she was practicing in Messrs Kington Tan Dzul where she specializes in the legal aspects of real estate transactions involved drafting and reviewing legal documents, handling financial transactions related to the property transfer, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and overseeing the closing process. Meanwhile, she was facilitating the registration of legal documents with the appropriate government authorities to officially transfer ownership and establish the rights of the new property owner.

Drawing from extensive experience in litigation and conveyancing over the years, our Ms. Jeffanie Phang ventures into a new chapter as the Founding Partner at Phang, Loi & Ngiam. Her leadership marks the inception of a law firm committed to pioneering innovation, delivering excellence, and providing client-centric legal solutions.

Our Ms. Lauren Ngiam earned her Bachelor of Law (Honours) from Multimedia University, Melaka Campus in 2019 and was a pupil under the guidance of Ms. Ruby Dass, a Senior Associate specialising in Subsale Conveyancing Cases at Messrs J.M. Chong, Vincent Chee & Co. She was subsequently admitted to the High Court of Malaya on 24^th July 2020 and was retained as a Legal Associate in the Conveyancing Department, focusing primarily on real estate and banking transactions.

Ms. Lauren Ngiam transitioned to Messrs CW Loh & Associates in 2021, assuming the role of Legal Associate within the Litigation Department. Here, she delved into civil litigation, focusing on general litigation matters, and deals mainly with clients from China. Throughout her tenure, Ms. Lauren showcased her adeptness in various skills, including the ability to cater to Chinese clients, a skill honed through her experiences. Moreover, she demonstrated proficiency in providing translations for agreements and documents, ensuring effective communication and understanding between local & foreign parties. During her time there, she has undertook significant responsibilities, including contract negotiations, strategising case development, offering legal opinions, drafting legal documents, and facilitating pre-hearing and trial submissions. Her involvement spanned across a spectrum of cases, ranging from contractual disputes to family matters and debt recovery.

Her proficiency in conveyancing transactions was further cultivated during her time at Messrs Kington Tan Dzul, where she managed property transactions for prominent developers in Malaysia and has liaised with multiple financial institutions. Throughout her tenure, she has successfully advised for over numerous hundreds of retail loans of residential purchase transactions and numerous commercial facilities. She also played a pivotal role in negotiating between residents and developers for a building redevelopment project in Kuala Lumpur.

Furthermore, Ms. Lauren has recently collaborated with an external senior associate to advise a prominent foreign investor from China on the acquisition of a company through a share sale agreement and mining operation. This successful acquisition, coupled with her meticulous due diligence practices throughout the transaction, has significantly enhanced her exposure and expertise in commercial and corporate matters.

Ms. Lauren joined Messrs Koon, Gan & Associates in August 2023 as a Legal Associate before eventually assuming the role of Founding Partner at Phang, Loi & Ngiam, marking a significant milestone in her legal career. Her journey in the legal profession has been marked by continuous growth and diversification of skills. From her early days in conveyancing to her current ventures in civil litigation and corporate advisory, she has consistently demonstrated a commitment to excellence and a passion for expanding her legal expertise.

Our Ms. Jestine Loi graduated with honors from the University of London and was admitted to the Bar in 2020. Leveraging her comprehensive educational background, she contributes valuable expertise across diverse legal domains, enriching our team’s capabilities and enhancing our ability to serve our clients effectively.

In the realm of litigation, she has extensive experience in General Civil Litigation, Debt Recovery, Probate and Administration of Estate, and Divorce and Matrimonial matters. Her approach is marked by a keen understanding of legal intricacies and a commitment to achieving favourable outcomes for her clients.

In the field of conveyancing, Ms. Jestine Loi adeptly handles diverse matters, including project sale and purchase, subsale transactions, perfection issues, and challenges such as lost titles and land conversion. She is skilled in coordinating with multiple banks, ensuring a smooth process for her clients in property-related transactions.

Beyond litigation and conveyancing, Jestine is also a registered trademark agent. In this role, she assists clients in enhancing and protecting their trademark rights in intellectual property matters.
